3rd president 1998-2001

Claire was born in Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier to Albertine Thibault and Oscar Robitaille. She is the second in a family of six children. His grandfather was called Ernest Robitaille and his grandmother Marie Denis. This couple raised a family of fourteen children. Claire's father was a carpenter and her grandfather a farmer and blacksmith in his spare time.

After completing her primary and secondary studies in Sainte-Catherine, Claire studied for two years at the École Normale de Pont-Rouge.

She worked in the field of education for four years before working 22 years of her life in the field of food and pharmacy.

After her retirement, she devoted more time to her three hobbies, horticulture, music and travel.

Living in L'Ancienne-Lorette (not far from the place where ancestor Pierre Robitaille rests in peace), she and her husband have laid out a property full of flowers, trees and shrubs, worthy of being shown in horticultural magazines. She also managed music competitions to help develop new talents.

A fan of travel, she fondly remembered the one she did in 1991 with a group from the Association in the country of our ancestors, Artois.

She has been a member of the Association since 1990 and has been on the Board of Directors since 1996. She was heavily involved in all of the Association's activities and participates in secretarial work, such as sending newsletters and renewal.

Mother of three children, Lucie, René and Nicole, she enjoyed spoiling her three grandchildren, Jean-François, Laurie and Philippe.
